Aynor High School Makes the Grade

The State of South Carolina's annual school accountability scores were released today (August 1, 2013), and AHS has done it again! AHS was the highest ranked high school in Horry County School District receiving an "A" with 94.5 total weighted points earned. The rubric for the point rating system is as follows:

90-100 (A): Performance substantially exceeds the state's expectations

80-89.9 (B): Performance exceeds the state's expectations

70-79.9 (C): Performance meets the state's expectations

60-69.9 (D): Performance does not meet the state's expectations

Less than 60 (F): Performance is substantially below the state's expectations.

The letter grades system was first used last year and allows schools to earn points for achievement and growth in the accountability system. The results of state assessments and high school graduation rates are used to determine school grades. For more details on AHS's progress visit HERE

Need Assistance With Online Registration?

Blue Jacket Family: This is an important announcement from Aynor High School regarding the registration process for the upcoming school year. All parents must use the online registration option this year to register their children. In the event that you need assistance with this process, AHS will have a computer lab available for you to come register your child on Thursday, August 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. This is an optional opportunity if you need assistance with the online registration process. Only new students to Horry County School District or students who have moved over the summer will be required to bring proof of residency documents.
