School Registration 2012

School registration will be held for all Aynor area schools (Aynor High, Aynor Middle, Aynor Elementary, Midland Elementary) on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in the Aynor High School Gymnasium. The times for registration will be from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registration packets from Aynor High School will be mailed this week (July 23). Parents also have an option this year of registering their child/children online instead of coming to the school gymnasium (NOTE: the online registration option is for high school students only). For access to the online registration and for more information on this option, click here: Online School Registration Information. If parents choose the online option, they will be able to pay the student activity fee ($10) and the student parking fee ($20) online. Any additional fees would need to be paid at the school. For parents choosing to attend the registration day in person on July 31, please make sure to complete the entire registration packet and bring it to the school on this day.

Online Registration Option Available for Aynor High Parents

Horry County Schools will launch online registration for students in grades 9-12 for the upcoming 2012-2013 school year. This new feature lets parents enroll their child from any location where they have Internet access, saving them from waiting in lines and taking time away from work. Parents will be able to update information without filling out multiple forms and they can be guaranteed that their information is safe and protected with the highest standards for security. By registering online, parents can help make the registration process “green” by saving paper. Read more about HCS Registration by clicking here: Online School Registration Information.

Shirt Design Begins Scholarship Fund for Darrell Miller

After last week's tragic loss of Aynor High School student, Darrell Miller, a tee shirt has been designed in his honor by a group of his friends: a pink shirt (Darrell would often be seen with his famous pink shirt in school), his football jersey number and a simple statement (he always had a way of cheering others up with his unforgettable personality and smile). The shirts will be sold for $15, and all proceeds from the sales will be set aside for a scholarship fund for the upcoming school year in Darrell's name. The next round of ordering will take place on Thursday, June 14. If you would like to preorder a shirt, please stop by the school during our summer work hours, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with your donation and shirt size. Again, the shirts will be ordered on Thursday, June 14 so get your order, shirt size and donation to us if you are interested. The shirts will be available for pick up during the week of June 18.
