AHS Students Showcased In TXT L8R Campaign

The attached video is a commercial showcasing AHS students in support of a recently launched initiative by HTC and WFXB FOX TV. The initiative is a no-texting while driving campaign called TXT L8R. The year-long campaign encourages drivers to wait before texting and driving with the "Arrive Alive, Text Later" theme message and reminder thumb bands for those who pledge to participate. Last month, HTC and WFXB FOX TV had the opportunity to work with HCSD athletic departments as student leaders from the nine area high schools were featured in the television campaign. To keep the momentum going with the campaign and to continue to encourage students not to text and drive, representatives from HTC and WFXB will visit Aynor High during lunch hours on Thursday, September 27, set up a table in the cafeteria and pass out pledge cards and thumb bands to students who wish to take the pledge. Blue Jackets pledge to "Arrive Alive, Text Later." GO BIG BLUE!
