AHS Senior, Dhruv Patel, won first place on the high school
level at the 3rd Annual HCS Technology Fair on Wednesday, April 4. Dhruv won in the "Creative Project" category and tied with a perfect
score for "Best of Show" at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
There were over 500 students competing in 275 entries. A special thanks to
Dhruv for his dedication, tenacity, and creativity!

Spring Break Begins
Spring break has officially began for Aynor High School students, faculty and staff. Schools will be closed for break on Friday, April 6 through Friday April 13. Everyone will return to school beginning Monday, April 16, 2012. Happy Easter Blue Jackets!!

2012 AHS Girls State Delegates Chosen
The
66th session of Palmetto Girls State
will be held on the campus of Presbyterian
College in Clinton, South Carolina
from Sunday June 10-Saturday June 16, 2012.
The week is a hands-on application of government and citizenship. The delegates attending Palmetto Girls
State participate in mock
political activities at all levels of government by creating the mythical state
of “Palmetto”.
Two
delegates will be sent from Aynor
High School to
participate in the week of activities.
These two girls are sponsored by the Aynor Pilot Club. Their registration fee of $300 per delegate
is paid for by the Aynor Pilot Club. The
two delegates representing Aynor High for 2012 are Emily Butler and Crystal
Pee.
