AHS Names Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013
Dean Johnson, Career and Technology teacher at AHS, was selected by his colleagues to serve as Aynor High School's 2012-2013 Teacher of the Year. AHS Principal, Ms. Janet Lawrence-Patten, congratulates Mr. Johnson at a recent Pep Rally after being announced to the student body as the selection. Mr. Johnson teaches Broadcasting, Desktop Publishing, Yearbook and IB Film (International Baccalaureate). He is a native of Aynor and has been teaching in Horry County Schools for four years. We wish Mr. Johnson the best as he now competes for the District Teacher of the Year.
AHS Girls Tennis Into Playoffs
The Lady Jacket Tennis team defeated the Loris Lions on Monday, October 22 to become the Region 8AA Runner Ups and will head into the 1st round of playoffs on Thursday, October 25. The team they will play and the location of play is yet to be determined as of the posting of this information. The girls are coached by Ms. Marcella Toth. GO BIG BLUE!
High School Volleyball Playoff Opener
The Lady Jacket Volleyball team defeated Lake City on Monday night, October 22 in the first round of playoffs. The girls swept the game with a 3-0 win. Below is video courtesy of WMBF Sports who covered the event. GO BIG BLUE!!
