The Battling Blue Jackets are gearing up for the 2011-2012 football season. Varsity practice began nearly a week ago with barely a week left to go before the CNB Kickoff Classic. With the opening kickoff around the corner, make sure you have your tickets in hand, and be ready to support your AHS Blue Jackets!!

Friday, August 12: CNB Kickoff Classic @ MBHS Football Stadium beginning at 6 p.m.

Important Dates: 

August 5-7, 2011: Sales Tax holiday 

South Carolina’s 12th annual Sales Tax Holiday weekend will begin at 12:01 a.m. on August. 5, 2011 and end at midnight on August 7.  Shoppers will get a break from the state’s six  percent sales and use tax rate as well as the local sales tax on a long list of items to help families prepare for school. Monday, August 15, 2011 4 to 7 p.m.: Open House
Come pick up your schedule and visit with your teachers. 

Monday, August 15, 2011 6 to 7 p.m.: Freshmen Orientation
In the AHS auditorium, where you will meet your teachers and administrators and get acquainted with your school!


Monday, August 22, 2011: 1st day of school
<Students> Make sure you have registered with our guidance department if you did not attend open registration on August 2. Our first day of school is a full day of classes.
