LWV Hosts Voter Registration Drive For AHS Students

Did you know that some elections have been decided by one vote?  That vote could be yours.

Will you be 18 years old by November 6th?  If so, you can register to vote at AHS during lunch on Tuesday May 1st. You will be able to vote in the June 12 Primary election as well, since you will be age eligible to vote in the November General Election. Bring your AHS student ID, your DMV ID, driver's permit or driver's license so that a copy can be made for the Voter Registration application.  You will need to have your social security number for the application as well.

The League of Women Voters of Horry County will provide postage, and applications will be mailed directly from AHS.  Applicants will receive their voter registration cards in the U.S. Mail, sent to their home address.

Don't miss this convenient opportunity to register to vote. Information on Absentee Ballots and voting with disability accommodations will be available. The League of Women Voters of Horry County is a non-partisan group participating in the national "Empowering the Voters of the Future" effort of the LWV of the United States.
